BELL – AMESBURY

Bell

FIRST VISIT: SATURDAY 30 AUGUST 2014

It’s becoming a bit of tradition that when we’re heading down to the Steam Fair we stop off at the Bell for a breakfast and a beer. I assume that in days gone by it was a thriving coaching house. From the outside it’s an impressive looking building. Inside there’s lots wood panelling and tiled walls, which are an impressively deep and rich blue. It’s got the modern-old vibe down to a T. There’s even a vintage Lovibonds advert on a wall near the bar – I keep meaning to take a photo of it and tweet it to Jeff of the modern-day Lovibonds. It’s a nice place and the clientele seem more respectable than those you find in most Spoons. I washed my breakfast down with a can of Bengali Tiger.
